Second

We're having a baby! Good timing since S'Ahmisa is a toddler now. Gosh, this pregnancy is harder-much worse on my body-so tired and cranky and can't keep anything down.

New Woman

I started chatting with this model-she's older than me, but very cute. I want to see her, but will she be disgusted with my youth?

Married

I am now married. The wedding was very nice, we had the ceremony in the new botanical gardens, then the reception was at the Apple Valley Ballroom at The Centre. Jorge's family was nice enough to pay for the honeymoon, none of his family members came-his brothers were too busy apparently (well, two of his brothers are in other hoods) and his father just died.

Another update report:

Assist in the management of family tree information: Goal is to update the family tree document bi-monthly. Uploading this as we speak along with an updated map of the hood. Revamped the family tree to allow links bewteen each family and to allow the database to be smaller. This is taking more time than anticipated and will be uploaded later this year.

Collect community & residents registry: Template and tools are now online for other hood administrators to download. Trying to decide if we should collect skill and badge information since this is very dynamic.

Test and implement 3rd party technology: With the new deal working on implementing a "patch" to the hood's infrastructure. The testing folders are quite large as residents buy more items online and ask for it to be tested. Will look into limiting the amounts of items residents may purchase. Also, the folders are due for a cull-will do inventory of cc items and delete little used items by the end of the year.

Perform back-ups of resident information: Another backup was done right before the "patch" was implemented. Patch was implemented, still in testing to note any changes and ill-effects.

Serve as local reporter: on track.

Manage the local library: Still not so well. Plan on creating a reading incentive plan with the community director.

Review

I was chosen to review the Big Round Pizza, so I went there and ate for free. I can't say much since my article is in the paper, but it was fun. Antonio and I are discussing having another baby, I must say, I am fairly content with Verde. Maybe once he gets older.

Moved In

Moved in with Johan in the teacher's house-going well, trying to decorate with my limited funds and his limited salary as well. Also saving for the wedding-we decided to marry at a nice destination wedding. His family will help us pay, that's nice.

Birthday!

For Faith's birthday we got her a robot and ate some organic honey as a treat. We even splurged and got a nice set of balloons. Now the hard question, should we adopt another child?

House and Home

House and home are going much better-the botanical gardens was approved and now we're working on selecting plants and such, I have to find something else to do to occupy my time now that the girls are teens and Ginger wants to start cooking and cleaning. Maybe a small garden?

Winners!

We won a trip! YEA!!! The entire family will be going on an all expense paid vacation. We won the Kimikura Island vacation-so here we come! Yahoo!!! I need to work out and buy luggage for the family and everything!

Emmigration

Emmigration has become a large cause of our population decreasing. I must send a personal letter to those hoods that accepted our residents with open arms and thank them for thier hospitality. I hope Apple Valley will be able to do the same for them when the time comes. I know that in a few simweeks, we will need to accept immigrants for our residents to successfully marry and to increase the gene pool. Currently there are few families that are not related, in fact, my dear Fiona is in need of a beau!

Vacation

Rayne and I went to Kimikura to celebrate our anniversary and our elder birthday. It was a nice trip. We learned so much and enjoyed each other's company-I don't like being old though, I wet my pants while in the shopping district-so embarassing!

Retirement

I have stepped back from CupaJava, I spend my days baking a few items for the shop-Sazo hired a baker, so there's no need for me to travel there. I wish Elle would retire as well, we could do lots of things. She wants to go on vacation-but will she take the time off?

Daughter-in-Law

Jadhira stopped by the house the other day. She will make a great daughter-in-law. We sat and talked about the enviromental changes occuring across the nation and the impact it has on the health of sims and flowers. She opened her florist shop, that is nice, maybe Johan would get more simoleans than that little teacher's salary. That reminds me, I must go to Farmer's Market and spend my $100 gift certificate.

Dead

Astaire is dead we are now Astute's guardians more work for us with two toddlers but there isn't any other way. Thankfully they will have thier child birthdays soon, so I went shopping for a special cake for the kiddies.

Divorce and Death

Dad is sad-my older brother Astaire divorced his wife and then died in a freak bus accident on route to his game. Poor daddy-

School

School is going well-leading the students in studies each day. The hood council has decided on a salary to give me. I wonder should we persue hiring more teachers. One of my students wants to teach-he is very bright and skilled, in fact, he could skip the rest of school if he so desired. He already helps at the elementary school afterschool and sometimes helps in leading lessons.

My Daughter

Faith is a child and very beautiful-bright blond hair and she loves the color purple-we decorated her room a bit with the colors.

Financial Director Note: New Lot

Ka'Obi Sweeny
The Garden Association met with me today. They presented a proposal for a botonical garden. The garden would reside on a lot as small as 2x2 to as large as 3x3. In addition to the numerous flowers, plants and walking paths, there would be a greenhouse (with a space for weddings), stage for performances.

The club even had a mock-up design of the garden with a japenese garden, country cottage garden, space for the stage, and coffee shop.

They emphasized that this would not duplicate the purpose of Celebration Park in that the botanical gardens would be mostly educational, an area for beautiful weddings and special events such as concerts. Which Apple Valley does need.

I reviewed thier proposal and looked at some numbers. Also I have determined a suitable location for the site-and the site is now nearing final construction.

Worried

I'm worried about my brother-he seems very depressed. We talked and wow...I'd be depressed too! His wife left him to move to another hood, the love of his life is married to another man and moved out the hood as well and his performance on the team is suffering. Yikes! Elda and I have been spending more time with Astute-our nephew since his father is in such a bad state.

Dean's List

Made the dean's list my first year at university-it was hard-always studying and running to classes, but in the end it will be worth it-especially when companies see my resume and offer me a lawyer's job and I become hood president.

Generations

So many Kent kin at university-we're all so smart. So smart! So smart are we! Ha Ha Ha! Ok, I've been chatting online with a nice woman, she's older but she doesn't mind that I'm younger ^_^ Maybe I'll see her one day.

Pregnant?

Uh, been throwing up lotz lately-if I am pregnant this is going to be horrid! I barely noticed a difference with S'Ahmisa. Now I've set up permenant residence in the bathroom, right next to the poreclain temple.

Vacation

Father is dead and Jorge is married-Julio will be married soon, I want to buy a vacation home so I started browing through the packets of information at the hood's welcome center. I think I may have found one, I will show Carmela.

Teaching

There's a position open in Riverdale for a teacher, I would love to apply-I sent them a letter explaining my desire, maybe they'll let me come. I'm very very skilled!

Family History

Our family history was posted by the Historical Society. It was nice reading a little about the family, there's more of course, but I suppose that's for the family to know. Stories for my to share with the children. Things are going much better-I had gained a little-ok a lot-of weight during the break from Pahala Shore and I had to spend some marathon sessions working out. My character hasn't been appearing much, thankfully his storyline is going to get meatier.

Community Director Note: New Tasks?

Rayne Wilsonoff
With the new deal, we're supposed to discuss how to manage the new task of overseeing the increased travel and vacation destinations. Since I'm in charge of culture, it falls to me :(

Thankfully there isn't much. So here's an update to my plan:

Secure family values, uphold rights for children and elders
  • Encourage families to create wills by hosting a free class at The Centre, free donuts will bring a bigger crowd

  • Research health insurance policies for residents

  • Establish a play group system for children to meet thier neighbors
Ensure a family friendly and healthy community for current & future generations.
  • Encourage residents to compost instead of trash (see report in paper)

  • Install more lights and benches at the parks

  • Obtain address signs for homes

Ensure adequate culture, local food produce, restaurants and bars, & social meeting places.

  • Look into selling travel certificates

  • Look into hosting charter tours

  • Host a child friendly event: Children's Festival with free lemonade and sweets and local entertainment and games and prizes. Location: Celebration Park or Modern Sculpture Park, cost for residents: free

  • Host a teen-friendly event.Musik Festival with concerts from local bands and maybe some international acts (contact Sergio Gitano of Harper's Cove, post notice on Career & Fame Board). Location: The Foundry

  • Add a trend section in the local paper. Will review resturaunts, bars, etc. Also help residents stay abreast of the local trends.

  • Allow local farmer's to reside on larger lots, thus produce more food.

  • Build a public pool and gym for residents to enjoy in the summer time

Ensure a quality education system for residents

  • Build a local school for the children of Apple Valley.

  • Host graduation ceremonies for graduates of the school and the university

  • Encourage more extracurricular activities for teens and children-start with debate team, chess club, and simscouting program Postponed until more information about Spring 2008 Deal is revealed.

At Last

Love is so great-how I love just cuddling with Sazo in the bed, such fun :)

We are trying to have another baby and I am applying for a job-well two jobs-a cashier for the art gallery at the Herendez Wearable Art Gallery and/or a cashier/trainee at the salon at the Herendez Wearable Art Gallery. Either way-it will be a cool job.

Demoted!!!

I got demoted!!! How could I have been so stupid!!! I was trying so hard to be a good teacher and now this happen!!! I don't know what to do!!!

Finally-A Teen

I'm finally a teen and I don't know what to do!!! It was all so simple when I was younger. Mom and Dad said that I will grow into myself and find my own interests and hobbies, but what? What could I do?

Life is Good

I'm a teen-a hot teen if I do say so myself. I'm thinking about what I want to do once I become an adult-big brother Johan said I should look at moving to another hood-but where? Somewhere cool-that's where! Roy said that he wants to be a teacher and might move to another hood to do so-well good riddance to him! I thought he was kind of cute.

Travels

Should we go on vacation? Darrel and I? It would be a good anniversary trip. Perhaps to Kimikura, such a lovely island with great culture, maybe that would be nice. A nice break from work and Darrel needs the break from the coffee shop-Sazo can handle things at home. Yes, I will do it!

Representing

I am taking my new position as congresswoman very seriously. I spend my days giving speeches at local schools and events, gathering research and representing Apple Valley in the greater city.

I feel like I'm experiencing my second life-the twins are off in college and my career is booming, my body is nice and in shape, I'm not as old as the other political players, but age is creeping up on me.

Moving on Up!

I am moving on up in my career!!! I was elected to the congress. I will mostly spend my time covering Apple Valley from the local office. That means I have more time to networking with neighbors gather and keep political support.

We should celebrate! A trip to my ancestoral home of Tiki Island? Better yet, let's buy a vacation home!

Working

I'm working again, the salon is back open-thanks to some errors, we had to rebuild and start our clientaile from scratch. It's alright since I'm able to design the salon how I desire it. I've done quite a few makeovers and helped women and men chose corrective clothing. I've even cut my own hair as well.

Doing Things

Presented a proposal to Ms. Sweeny concerning the petition for a botanical gardens. Hopefully it will go well. Now that the girls are teens and the house is smaller, I am able to spend less time cleaning and cooking and more time gardening. Matthew wants me to get a job, how could he even suggest such an idea. I belong at home! Focused on making the family happier and contributing to the community!

Wedding

We have decided to marry on simWednesday and we're having a destination wedding in Tiki Island. Which means I'm ordering a traditional sari for a volcano front wedding. Johan's parents are coming with us to celebrate and it will be three days of fun and celebration! We're staying at the Raintree Resort, a resort that borders the volcano and is in the middle of the rainforest, I can't wait, the photos are beautiful. Then we're going to see some lovely sights, like the lost tomb and of course-the beach.

Growing

Little Faith will have a birthday soon and she'll be a child. Is it time to look into adopting another baby...or should we take a family vacation. I am officially at home now-no more working at Tati's, I help with the church's small gift shop-selling bibles and comforting thoses as they wait for Lyndon to be free for counsel. Sometimes a cup of coffee goes a long way.
